How do I rent from Capital Baby Rentals?
We try to make it as easy as possible. Browse through our rental products, use the drop down to select the numbers of day you will need the items and add them to your cart. At check out you will be asked to provide some additional information including the start and end date of your rental, your delivery preferences and any flight or rental car information (so we can be proactive in checking if you will be delayed). You can select to pick up your rented items from us in Fairfax, VA 22030 or opt to have them delivered for a fee. You will pay online using our secure payment system and we'll confirm your order, payment and delivery details with you via email.
Where do you deliver?
We deliver to all cities in Fairfax county, VA, Arlington, VA, Alexandria, VA, some cities in Loudoun county, VA, Washington DC and Bethesda, MD, Chevy Chase, MD, and Potomac, MD. We do our best to deliver outside this area when we are able, so please ask us.
Do you deliver to Washington D.C.?
Yes we do deliver to DC! Getting in and out of DC by car can be difficult during morning and evening rush hours so we are not usually able to offer delivery on weekdays before 10am or after 2:30pm. We try our hardest to meet your requested delivery times though so please ask even if you have needs outside of those standard delivery hours.
What are your delivery hours?
Delivery and pick up hours are typically between 9:00am - 3:00pm. We will work with you to make your rental experience as easy as possible and this includes doing our best to match your schedule and to deliver and pick up based on your needs. Please do not hesitate to ask and the worst that will happen is we have to say no.
How does the delivery work?
It depends on how you want to receive your items. If you are renting a car, we can meet you at the rental car location. We also deliver to hotels, motels, private residences (or wherever else you might be staying). If you'd like, we will work with your hotel to have your items delivered to your room prior to your arrival. The same goes for private house rentals. We do our best to make the delivery and pick up as convenient as possible for you and our delivery calendar works on a first come first serve basis. We will let you know upon order request if we are not able to meet your first choice of delivery times.

Is there a minimum time rental?
Yes, we have a three day minimum. You may select delivery and pick up date that are less than three days apart, but you will be charged for a 3 day rental.
Are there days you will not deliver?
We never say no without at least trying to make it work...even on holidays! In the event of bad weather, we may need to alter our delivery plans for driving safety reasons.
When must my rental items be ready for pick-up on our check-out day?
Generally, pick up hours are between 9:00am - 3:00pm. We always work with you to make your rental experience as easy as possible and this includes doing our best to match your schedule and pick up based on your needs.
Can I pick my rented items up?
Yes, absolutely and we allow pick ups and returns all the time. The pick up location is located in Fairfax, VA 22030.
What if my flight is delayed?
Please call or email us and we can make alternate arrangements for delivery or pick up. We will request your flight information at check out so we can also be proactive. If your flight is delayed, we will work with you to arrange a new delivery or pick up time.
How new is your rental equipment?
All of our products are purchased new! All of our products are in excellent condition. When they are not, we retire them.
Do you track manufacturer's recalls?
Definitely! We stick to a limited number of brands and our favorite products and keep track of their reviews and recalls. We track recall information on a regular basis through the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission's website www.cpsc.gov.
Do you install car seats?
No, we are not able install car seats due to liability reasons. We are certified and take car seat safety very seriously, but we are not able to install the car seat for you. We provide the user guide when we deliver your car seat. We are able to answer any of your questions but can not install it in the vehicle for you.
If you would like help installing the seat, please check Safercar.gov to find a child car seat inspection station nearest you. You might also contact your local police department or fire department as they often have certified car seat technicians. Okay, I placed my order, now what?
We will contact you by email within 48 hours of receiving your order request to introduce ourselves and confirm your order. Please read your confirmation email carefully and you can call or email us if you have any questions at (571) 234-1285 or email@example.com.
How do you define a "day" for rental purposes?
Rates are based on calendar days from date of delivery to date of pick up. If you arrive on the 10th and leave on the 15th, you will be charged for six calendar days. We request that you select the same number of days for each product. Don't worry though, we will confirm all of the details after you place your order to make sure we are all on the same page.
What do we do if our travel plans change?
Notify us as soon as possible. If you need to adjust the dates for your rental, we will make every attempt to honor your order but we can not guarantee the same product availability. We hope you will not have to cancel your trip, but if you do, please let us know as soon as possible.
What if we are not satisfied with our items?
We feel confident you will be satisfied but if something does not meet your needs, please let us know right away and we will make every attempt to deliver a replacement item.
What if my child does not use the baby equipment rented?
We have included the appropriate age ranges and product information in the product details and confirm this info with you to make sure you know what you are getting. We do not offer refunds or discounts for products that are not used. Rental orders are final upon delivery.
Are there any other services other than rentals that you provide?
We will do our best to accommodate any other requests you have. We are usually able to deliver diapers, baby food, baby snacks, sunscreen etc. Please add your requests in the special notes section upon checkout and we will confirm availability and cost.
How far in advance should I place my order?
You can reserve your baby equipment as early as you finalize your travel plans, especially if you would like gear for any holiday weeks (Easter, Spring Break, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, etc). What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that kids get sick and life happens. We are very fair in our cancellation policy. Cancellations made at least one week prior to the start of the rental period will receive a refund of all amounts charged. Cancellations made less than one week but more than forty-eight (48) hours prior to the start of the Rental Period will receive a fifty percent (50%) refund of all amounts charged. There will be no refund for cancellations made less than forty-eight (48) hours prior to the start of the rental period.
When do I pay?
You submit payment in full when you make your reservation. Your credit card will be charged after we review your order and confirm availability and make any necessary adjustments to the order.
Can I make changes or add to my order?
Yes, of course. Please contact us via email or phone and we'd be happy to make changes.
What happens if we damage or lose an item we rented?
If any items are lost or damaged beyond normal wear and tear for the rental period you will be responsible for the repair or replacement of the item. Your credit card will be charged for the cost of repairs or replacement cost of the item(s). The details our outlined in our terms.
How is your baby equipment cleaned?
We use only organic cleaners on our equipment. The cleaning process is extremely important to us. We are currently using Puracy products to clean our products. We love their products and use their entire line in our home. We vacuum and steam clean our gear too!
